REMEMBER, I AM NOT A SCIENTIST NOR A DOCTOR. ANY NEGATIVE OPINIONS ON INGEDIENTS come from Sites that I have listed. Pick a water-resistant sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30. For trips near the equater (Africa), I would look for a minimum SPF 45. Use a Sunscreen that adaquately blocks both UVA and UVB rays. If you are at risk for acne, I suggest a Non-Comedogenic (Oil Free) suncreen (one that does not clog your skin's pores). Use a UV-protective lip balm, WITHOUT Oxybenzone. (Oxybenzone raises a high level of health concern because... - GoodGuide.com) Most sunscreens tested, stained fabrics. Broad spectrum (UVA/UVB) Sunscreens have Expiration Dates. Do not use Sunscreens with an expired expiration date, as it will NOT be as effective. Sunglasses should screen out 75% to 90% of viable light. Sunglasses should be dark enough that you can see your eyes in a mirror. Look for a uniform tint, although Double Gradient Tinting (extra tinting at both the TOP and the BOTTOM, can help reduce glare). Sunglasses should block 1) ultraviolet A, 2) Ultraviolet B AND 3) BLUE LIGHT (400–500 nm) Finding one that also blocks Blue Rays will be the most difficult. Wrap-around sunglasses are recommended (although they do not look as good) Polarization helps with glare (only). Mirror Coatings are good.
