ADDING IPX TO EXISTING NETWARE SYSTEMS - 2/18/2017 METHOD 1: ========= Adding support for IPX to an existing NetWare system that is currently only supporting IP: 1) Load inetcfg.nlm at the server console 2) Select Protocols 3) enable IPX (I enabled all of the IPX options) METHOD 2: ========= 1) hdetect 2) continue until you see network boards in the window (2nd screen) 3) highlight the network boards & press enter 4) highlight the one you want to change & press enter 5) use the del key to delete the one you want to change 6) use the ins key to add it back & highlight the right driver from the list & press enter 7) highlight edit frames & press enter 8) all the frame types will be selected 9) if you want only IPX, then deselect everything but 802.2 (deselect by pressing enter) 10) if you want IPX and IP then deselect everything but 802.2 & ethernet_II 11) press esc to go back to the menu 12) choose return to driver list/summary 2 times 13) choose continue 14) on protocol options highlight the lan driver (at the top) & press enter 15) highlight 802.2 driver option and press enter 16) type in a network address 17 continue on, etc. until hdetect exits 18 type config on the console & you should see the right drivers loaded and bound to the correct protocols
