RING-VIDEO-DOORBELL-3-PLUSES-STOPPED-WORKING-WITH-ANY-OF-MY-ALEXA-ECHO-DEVICES.txt 10/2/2020 @ 1545 After two weeks of working very well, all of a sudden our Ring Video Doorbell 3 Plus(es) STOPPED working with our many Alexa Echo devices. Alexa NO LONGER REPORTED ANY MOTION DETECTION NOR DOORBELL RINGS - now WORTHLESS to US (PERSONAL OPINION). W were finally forced to buy a $50 Ring Chime Pro 2nd Generation device to facilitate our Ring Video Doorbell 3 Plus(es) utilizing my WiFi. Once installed you HAVE to move your Ring Doorbells to the newly created RING NETWORK (created by the Ring Chime Pro, 2nd Generation device), (Otherwise, your doorbells will NOT work correctly, IN MY EXPERIENCE). NOTE THAT RING CHIME PROs ONLY connect RING products - they wil NOT extend the reach of your WiFi that you use for other purposes (laptops, phones,...) As an FYI, I've been told by RING, that after a power failure, YOU may have to (or not) manually reconnect your Ring Chime Pro 2nd Generation to your WiFi. I will probably put my CHIMES on a small UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply [batteries]). To get the most from your Ring device, aim for a signal of between -40 (near perfect) and -70.
