INSTALLING JAVA 1.4.2 SUPPORT PACK 3 UPDATE FOR NETWARE 6.0 copyright 2004-2017 by David R. Woodsmall A lot of Netware support pack installations are done this manner: 1. Download the desired Support Pack update, jvm142sp3.exe (JVM v1.42 SupportPack3 update for NW 6.0), in this case. 2. Create a text file, containing the IP addresses of the NetWare hosts that you wish to update. In my case the text file contains the single entry "192.168.34.200". 3. From a Windows host, log into the desired Netware host, N60W4, in this case. 4. Map a Netware drive to the SYS:\ directory 5. Save the EXE (jvm142sp3.exe) to a temporary location on the Windows hard drive. 6. On your NetWare host, issue the command "UNLOAD JAVA" 7. Double-click jvm142sp3.exe, and answer a few license questions. 8. Java 1.4.2 gest installed on NW 6.0 host N60W4 9. You will see an "install completed" message 10.
