I have no clue what that is nor have i ever heard of that. When i go to look it up what it is and i get alot of things about overclocking issues. I do not have this system overclocked. I am just beginning to wonder if my motherboard or cpu is starting to fail all of a sudden. My build is maybe 2 years old now. Any idea what in the world is causing this? Ask ! rolli59 Jun 7, 2012, 8:42 PM What I see is a mismatch of ram therefore I suggest running it with one set installed. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/327892-33-hypertransport-sync-flood-error http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/327892-33-hypertransport-sync-flood-error Hypertransport sync flood error joeman99Sep 30, 2011, 2:40 AM I updated my ATI drivers for my HD4850 crossfire setup today, and upon reboot it crashed and gave me an error screen saying "A hypertransport sync flood error occurred on last boot." I went into safe mode and uninstalled the drivers, then reinstalled the previous version, but I still got the same error. So I went and set all my CMOS settings to defaults, but that didn't help any. So now if I have my video drivers installed at all it crashes on boot. All works fine without them. Does anyone know what could be causing this? iam2thecroweSep 30, 2011, 3:14 AM http://www.google.com.au/#sclient=psy-ab&hl=en&source=hp&q=Hypertransport+sync+flood&pbx=1&oq=Hypertransport+sync+flood&aq=f&aqi=g4&aql=&gs_sm=e&gs_upl=265l265l0l1718l1l1l0l0l0l0l406l406l4-1l1l0&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&fp=deb5123aaf20d8ca&biw=1280&bih=843 there are hundreds of threads about this already, so start reading. The general concensus is faulty motherboard or wrong HT or RAM settings in BIOS. Update BIOS may also fix it. I think its a coincidence that you got the error when you updated drivers and they actually have nothing to do with the problem. joeman99Sep 30, 2011, 3:22 AM After reading I thought that may be the case too, but it's clearly the drivers because when they're uninstalled everything works fine! And I don't really see how it would be the wrong HT or RAM settings because they haven't been touched. They've been default for all nine months this PC has been running :??: I'm looking into doing a BIOS update, but I've never done one before and the README is very intimidating. It instructs that I should make a boot floppy. Why would it ask me to use legacy hardware that nobody even uses anymore? :/ http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/329792-28-hypertransport-sync-flood-error == http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/295983-30-hyper-transfer-sync-error-drivers Hyper Transfer Sync Error -Drivers pcenvy88Aug 20, 2011, 2:14 PM Ok so I posted a previous thread in the XP forums when I thought it was XP or my GFX card. I have Win7 ultimate x86 installed right now and eveyrthing works fine.... Until I go to install drivers for audio or graphics card. Right now my graphics card shows in Device Manager but it is listed as 'Standard VGA Graphics Adapter'. I even install the ATI video driver off the Biostar utility cd and I get the same error. 'Hyper Transfer Flood Sync Error'. I've tried all versions of the catalyst software and all of them give me the same error. People all suggest this is a faulty RAM problem but it can't be. My system is stable without drivers installed... Any suggestions? That error can be caused by a variety of problems: MOBO, RAM, PSU, OC, BIOS, etc. First observation - don't use the CD; go to Biostar and download the NEWER drivers from their website. Need to know your full specs (CPU, MOBO, GPU, PSU. RAM, and BIOS version); CPU-z can help identify -> http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html Otherwise my feeling are your MOBO, PSU or GPU. When the GPU drivers are running properly it draws additional power so the additional load is causing an error; similarly a bad GPU can also trigger a similar problem. Voltage drops and 'poof' you get the errors. **So try a different PSU from another PC ** You might want to look at the Event Manager and see what Critical errors are listed and what's the root cause(s); see http://i1013.photobucket.com/albums/af254/Jaquith/Event_Manager.jpg Sorry I can't believe I forgot my system specs... biostar A880G micro ATX radeon hd 4770 Phenom II X6 1090T @ 3.2 4GB g.Skill DDR3 @ 1600 I got everything working fine by moving the 4 gig stick into the second slot again and drivers were installed, graphics card was working. Then I tried getting my second 4 gig stick in there and everything went to *** again. Back in the same loop. Even with 1 stick in the second card again it still fails. When I first got it working I changed the hyper transport settings in BIOS to 1ghz and 16 bit. Its what got me up and running but now it doesn't even matter it is still toast. I'm starting to think that it is a PSU issue as I've had it for a while and instead of 5v and 12v at startup I have 4.875 and 11.9. Is this normal? http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/295983-30-hyper-transfer-sync-error-drivers MSI-770 showing Hyper Transport Sync Flood Error Hyper transport sync flood error Hyper Transport Sync Flood Error problem still continues Hyper transfer sync flood error Trying to install ATI Drivers and CCC - Error I also got this upon returning to windows without video drivers... What BIOS version? See CPU-z Mainboard pcenvy88Aug 20, 2011, 6:40 PM As I said before CPU-z is bringing up nothing for the mainboard or memory. Those BSOD codes mean a lot though because I just noticed that my A880G+ board only supports up tho DDR3 1333MHz. Setting my bios down to 1333 will probably work! I'm not sure if i can find the settings to change that though. Will report back soon. Thanks a lot for your help http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231428 You can determine the BIOS version in the BIOS itself no need for CPU-z. There are several versions of your 'A880G' -> http://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en/search/search.php?search=A880G Besides setting just the Frequency, set the CAS Timings including the Command Rate. Here's a generic Sticky for setting the RAM -> http://www.gskill.us/forum/showthread.php?t=7688 So CPU-Z is working for me now... this is what it came up with... How do I get my FSB : DRAM ratio back down from 3:10... every time im in the bios FSB is locked at 200MHz jaquith Aug 20, 2011, 9:34 PM You need to post your exact MOBO, "As I said before" there are several versions of your 'A880G'. So me picking one and posting settings might not pertain. In general you need to set the BIOS to allow Manual Overclocking then the FSB settings will show-up. It seems the only setting you did was to set the DRAM Frequency -> DDR3-1333MHz and not the CAS Timings... Ok... Well I upped the FSB from 200 to 220. Things are running now with drivers installed! System crashed once but I have been stable for 30 minutes ( no processes really running) I thought the screenshot from CPU-Z told you the MOBO info but I guess not. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138283 I still need help making my system more stable and getting my FSB: DRAM ratio in check. I have CPU freq at 220Mhz, RAM timings are at 9-9-9-24, RAM voltage 1.5v, NB voltage is at 1.2 thanks for all your help im getting closer! System crashed once already but no errors and can boot back up. Just looking for more stable settings. Will be back in a minute with BIOS version. There were (2) G+. Good Luck! What do you mean 2 G+? Also, everything runs fine but I have a clean install of windows... As soon as I run Prime95 it crashes and I still have the ratio of 3:10. No matter what settings I change cpu-z says I have that ratio.... pcenvy88Aug 21, 2011, 1:16 AM Hopefully I get help with the last part. Anyhoot,,, jaquith PM me your paypal I'll buy you lunch tomorrow. pcenvy88Aug 31, 2011, 5:50 PM This ended up being a RAM issue after all (I think) I took one stick out and am running with just 1 stick fine on many different OC settings. Weird how one day it doesn't like my RAM. Hah ===/// pcenvy88Sep 5, 2011, 11:20 AM Found a solution to the problem... Was only getting hung up when playing Bad Compnay 2...
