How to change import settings when importing photos in Win 10
New to Win 10. I want to change what has now become the default opening of Explorer. Was used to Win 7 [oh how I miss it!] which offered several each time I plugged in.

Hi there,

My name is Ryan and I am an independent advisor here.
I'm not sure what you're asking to be able to do here but try this

- On your PC, select the Start button and then select Photos to open the Photos app.
- Select Import > From a USB device, then follow the instructions. You can pick the items you want to import and select where to save them

That is the best method to import photos in Windows 10. If there is something more specific you wish to do, please specify so I can help you do it.

Hi, I'm Greg, an installation specialist and 9 year Windows MVP here to help you.

Go to Settings > Devices > Autocomplete and choose the device you're importing from, from the dropdown menu choose the default behavior you want when you plug it in.
