http://www.woodsmall.com/HEATING-the-Water-Heater-Shed.htm 11/2020 Since I have not yet installed HEAT TAPE in my water pipes in my insulated "water heater room", I use two incandescent (each on a separate, temperature controlled switch) bulbs to heat my "water heater room". NEVER use LEDs nor CFLS, nor Fluorescent bulbs for Heat - (they do not put out much heat). The lights come on when the temperature inside the water heater room drops to about 40 degrees fahrenheit. I use a pair of these INCANDESCENT BULBS for two reasons: 1) They don't always come on when the should. 2) It it too cold, I was worried that one bulb would not put out enough heat. 3) The bulb might die without my noticing it.
