Do not drive in inclement weather unless absolutely necessary. 2. Keep vehicle and windows clear of snow and ice. 3. Drive slowly and leave a larger gap between vehicles. 4. Accelerate and decelerate slowly. 5. Four-wheel and all-wheel drive do not help to stop your vehicle. 6. Use steady brake pressure to slow if your vehicle has ABS brakes. 7. Pump and release brakes if your vehicle does not have ABS brakes. 8. Releasing the accelerator during a skid will help you regain traction. 9. If your vehicle starts to skid, steer into the direction of the slide. 10.
